The Outside Sales Representative will hunt new business and call on
prospective customers. This position is responsible for managing
the entire sales cycle. This position will be starting a new book
of business so prior prospecting experience is crucial. The Outside
Sales Rep will maintain relationships with existing clients to sell
the customer on continued use of the company's services, ensure
customer service, facilitate yearly renewals and to utilize as a
source for referrals for other sales. The Sales Rep will complete
bid paperwork in a timely manner; finalize new client contracts and
participates in new client orientations to help assure first
payroll is run. Much decision-making is required, guided by
objective while focused on daily operations with company-wide
impact on image and position of the company.
Must live in Glendale or Century City, CA areas.
Heavy prospecting experience, telemarketing, cold calling, knocking
on doors, social media, self-generates leads by using multiple
methods and multiple touches. Meets minimum acceptable sales and
activity levels. Builds relationships with prospect and current
clients to give and get referrals. Focuses on relationship selling.
Calls on prospective customers to explain benefits, and value of
the company's service offering. Promotes extended services to
prospective and existing clients. Follows up on sales leads
generated from a variety of sources. Develops a prospective
customer list generated by various methods. Completes bid paperwork
in a timely manner and finalizes new client contracts. Accomplishes
sales goals determined through consultation with management.
Completes activity and pipeline reports and submits to management
at the required time. Facilitates the new client process by
effectively communicating the information gathered from new clients
before their orientation. Confers with Service Team to resolve
client issues. Travels throughout the market area and spends most
of the time outside the office, meeting with prospects and clients
for the purpose of selling the Company's services. Maintains
flexibility in schedule to accommodate changes in prospect's or
client's plans. Assists in the accomplishment of company's goals.
Helps other employees to accomplish company's goals. Performs other
duties as may be assigned by department supervisor. Participates in
the Disaster Recovery plan as required.
3-5 years of B2B outside sales experience. HR
services/401K/retirement services/insurance sales experience. A
true hunter/prospector for net new business, not farmer/account
manager. Prior heavy prospecting experience, telemarketing, cold
calling, knocking on doors, social media, self-generates leads by
using multiple methods and multiple touches. Proven track record,
consistent top sales performer, meets/exceeds quota, President's
Club winner, Circle of Excellence winner etc. Has strong sales
experience - selling a premium service, medium to high range,
selling on value not price. Experience with complex sales with a
lot of moving parts to it, not transactional selling. Experience
previously with running a business or understanding their issues
and needs of an SMB. Has a strong established local network, very
familiar with the local market. Preferred solid connections
w/referral partners, COI's, attends networking events, member of
groups/associations etc. Is coachable, takes direction well, is
collaborative and a team player. Preferred long tenure of more than
2 years at each position. Has strong business/financial acumen - is
sharp, intelligent, has value-based conversations with business
owners, is credible, earns trusts with business owners/ C level
execs. Preferred if have been a business owner or entrepreneur in
the past, or family-owned company. Is motivated, a self-starter,
has built a book of business from ground up. Principles and
practices of general outside sales processes, including assessing
buyer styles and sales personalities; ability to interpret,
analyze, and apply company policies, objectives, and sales
policies; appropriate methods and means of dealing with human
behavior situations in a variety of business circumstances. Methods
and techniques used in persuasion and negotiation of conflicts and
problems; dealing constructively with conflict; communicating
effectively, verbally and in writing, in a diverse range of
audiences and settings; and maintaining effective work relations
with those encountered in the course of employment. Knowledge of
Microsoft Office applications is preferred. Knowledge of small
business operations and challenges, and human resource related

Travels: Yes, up to 20-80%% of time. Must live in or be able to
travel to Glendale or Century City, CA areas.
Competitive compensation ($90K + uncapped commission). 1st year
OTE: $110-$130K. 2nd year OTE: $150K+. 3rd year OTE: $200K+ and so
on. $450/month for business expenses on company card. Day 1
