Overview: ConGlobal is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Mechanic for our location in Phoenix, AZ -As a Lead Maintenance Mechanic, you are responsible for managing and developing the current trailer shop team. Responsibilities include leading the assessment and repair of our fleet of Container Chassis and Intermodal Containers at the Railyard. -We offer:

  • Responsible for the entire mechanical operation, and for entire trailer shop operation - safety, administration and productivity.Responsible for the training and orientation of all employees and ensures that every employee has the necessary knowledge, skills and ability to perform each task assigned -
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks related to terminal managementConducts routine/scheduled maintenance on railroad leased/owned containers and chassisRepairs equipment in accordance with railroad, IEP, manufacturer & FMCSA guidelinesDocuments repairs according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writingRepairs tires, brakes, lights, landing leg and frameworkPerforms light welding when requiredWhat we offer:

      Minimum of 3-5-year verifiable mechanic experience in ANY industryMinimum of 3-5-year verifiable experience working on 50lbs commercial tires.Minimum of 3-5-year verifiable experience working Automotive Electrical wiringAbility to lift more than 50lbsOpen availability required (Nights, Weekends, & Holidays)Willingness to work in varying weather conditionsMust have basic set of hand toolsValid Driver's LicensePlease note: All positions require pre-employment background verification, physical review, and pre-employment drug screen.
