Description:Tax AnalystElite Roofing Supply is recruiting for a Tax Analyst who will play a vital role in the success of this fast-growing company. This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess a great attitude and team player mentality. Reporting to the Controller, the Tax Analyst will engage in work that revolves around preparing, reviewing, and filing tax forms and returns.Requirements:ResponsibilitiesManage and collect all resale certificates from exempt customersKeep track of business licenses. Renew business licenses before they expire. Apply for new business licenses when necessaryPreparation and filing of all business property tax returns including making paymentPreparation and filing of other various tax returns including Occupational License returnsAssist in clearing delinquencies and issues with the Department of RevenuePrepare monthly accrual journal entries related to business taxes, sales tax, and business licenses. Reconciliation of tax accounts in the general ledgerAssist Tax Manager with various duties as assignedAd hoc job assignmentsPerform additional responsibilities and assist with special projects as assigned by leadershipMinimum Qualifications and SkillsTwo years' experience working with business taxesStrong P/C skills including Excel. Strong analytical skills, effective written and oral communication skills. Self-starter who needs little motivation or direct supervision. Ability to plan and organize. A high degree of accuracy and detail-oriented. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, accurately, and timely. Sales tax and/or property tax experience a plusBachelor's degree in Account, Finance, or related fieldExperience with Agility software a plus
