We could not protect businesses or provide peace of mind to clients without your expertise. You determine who our clients are and how we can better serve their needs. Your judgement helps us write and retain profitable business. Federated provides paid classroom and hands-on training designed to teach you the fundamentals of underwriting.To set you up for success, you will complete Federateds robust classroom and hands-on training, designed to teach the foundations of underwriting at Federated. After training you will be assigned a territory to underwrite for. With minimal supervision, you will have sole ownership over your territory and will partner closely with a multitude of internal departments to gather, analyze and evaluate the risk of new and existing customers. The training begins on September 30th, 2024.This position is based at our Glendale, AZ office, but to begin with, you will be training for two weeks in our Owatonna, MN location.ResponsibilitiesGather and analyze information about a clients or prospects business operations, history and locationAlongside colleagues, decide what products and services the business needsDecide how much premium must be charged to cover the risk of insuring the businessOffer risk management solutions designed to help the business operate safely and profitablyBecome an expert in the political landscape, legal climate, demographics, economy, environment, and competitiveness of your territoryPeriodically travel to your territory to gain additional knowledge and work directly with clients and prospectsUse exceptional communication skills to build relationships with colleagues and clientsMinimum QualificationsA four-year degree in a business-related fieldStrong analytical, computer and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWhat We Offer:We offer a wide variety of ways to support you as a whole, both professionally and personally.
