Job Description:
A company is looking for a Claims Examiner II.
Key Responsibilities:
Adjudicate healthcare claims based on employer and payer-specific
policies and procedures
Review claims processing system data and compare it with
corresponding UB04 or CMS1500 forms
Review claims attachments to determine if services rendered were
medically appropriate and met benefit coverage criteria
Required Qualifications:
High School degree with two years of relevant professional
experience in Healthcare claims operations for an insurance company
or healthcare payor
Willingness to learn new skills and succeed in a new career
Proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Word and
Excel
ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding, CPT and HCPCS coding, and HIPAA knowledge
is a plus
Two years of claims or billing operations experience in a
healthcare setting
