Officers discourage disruptive and inappropriate behavior and act as ambassadors by assisting riders who may need help navigating the system. Allied Universal has security jobs and are seeking to fill the position of Professional Transit Security Dispatcher. As a Transit Security Dispatcher, we do not offer part-time work. As a Professional Transit Security Dispatcher for Allied Universal you will be responsible for the Security and Safety of our client's property and personnel. As the Allied Universal Transit Security Dispatcher, you will know all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Be at least 18 years of age; 21 preferred Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experiencePossess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective mannerLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid Arizona State Security Guard License issued by the Department of Public Safety is required for employment with Allied Universal.As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local lawsThe Transit Security Dispatcher will not be responsible for driving company vehicles. For other positions with Transit Securty Guards, Driving Positions: must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle required.Display exceptional customer service and communication skillsHave intermediate to advanced computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sitesAbility to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficientlyAble to:Work in an indoor setting with constant sitting and looking at cameras and computer monitorsAbility to multi-task with multiple monitor computer systems and multi-line telephone systemsAbility to work all shifts involved with working in a dispatch setting monitoring cameras 24/7/365Regularly work in a dark and sometimes loud environmentRegularly communicate with law enforcement and emergency medical departments over telephone and mobile 2-way radiosWork overtime as assigned until all schedules are filledThe ideal candidate with possess:Previous dispatch experience in a transit dispatch environmentPrevious law enforcement/emergency medical dispatch experienceIntermediate typing proficiency of 30+ WPMFamiliarity with Windows operating systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)Knowledge of file systems related to the ripping and buring of video from server sites through burning softwareAllied Universal - is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
