Job Description:
A System Support Specialist's primary job is to ensure that
end-users are provided with prompt in-person IT support services.
This specialist would ensure that desktops (virtual and physical)
and other endpoint devices used by the end-users are operating
optimally. Additionally, the specialist would train end-users on
proper use of IT systems and applications, troubleshoot and resolve
basic networking, VoIP, and Application issues. The specialist is
part of a team and will be expected to escalate issues when
necessary. The specialist will also assist IT systems
administrators with their projects and implementations.Principle
Duties and Responsibilities
- Technical Support of IT Hardware and Software
- IT Desktop and related systems Monitoring and Maintenance
- Troubleshooting -IT Hardware and Software
- Verbal Presentation and Written Documentation of new IT
systems/processes
- Deployment/Implementation/Refresh of IT systems
- On-site in-person support as well as remote support of
end-users
- Some travel to off-site facilities will be required
- Some after-hours maintenance and/or implementation will be
requiredSkill Qualifications
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 Desktop and Virtual Desktop
Environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and basic Administration
- Knowledge of Windows domains, trusts, group policy, Active
Directory
- Knowledge of Windows services such as DNS, DHCP, IIS, VSS, and
TCP/IP
- Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and VMWare
Environment
- Knowledge of MS SQL, Storage Area Networks, Servers, Routers,
Switches, VoIP & SIP systems, SDWAN, PowerShell, and IT security
principles a plus
- Knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools a
plusEducation
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience (Required)A System Support
