Under the direction of the Maintenance Operations Manager, the Custodian Senior will assist the Custodian Supervisor in training, directing, and help Custodians and Temporary employees on a daily basis. Periodically, through a rotation schedule, Custodian Seniors may fill in for the Custodian Supervisor as needed. Custodian Seniors must have an in-depth knowledge of property chemical handling, floor-care, and general cleaning techniques. Time management and basic computer knowledge are also a must.
20% - Quality Control Checks of Custodial Teams Work
20% - Clean of assign areas or filling in for absent staff
20% - Hands on training with new employees and teams to show the schools desired techniques and pace
15% - Directing of teams, on daily schedule and extra Work Orders to be completed
10% - Distribute supplies needed by each team or building
10% - Inspect and routine maintenance of small equipment use by custodial teams.
5% - Performs other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED and two years of custodial or directly related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.

Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in both the field and in an indoor office environment with frequent exposure to hazardous physical conditions (such as mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibration, etc.); frequent exposure to atmospheric conditions (such as fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, etc.); frequent exposure to hazardous materials (such as chemicals); and frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, movement restrictions, intense noise or travel.
