Job Summary
Performs a full range of grounds maintenance and gardening duties;
assists in various related construction and landscaping projects;
and prepares other special venues according to the user's request
or published specifications.
Essential Functions
30% - Mows lawns, trims, prunes trees, fertilizes, maintains
irrigation systems, waters, sweeps walkways and building entry
ways
25% - Performs herbicide and pesticide applications, digs trenches,
cultivates, plants and transplants, spreads mulch, rakes
leaves/debris
20% - Operate various grounds equipment, such as tractors, mowers,
edger's, trimmers, spreaders, aerators, top dressers, etc.
20% - Moves equipment and furniture; operates parking lot sweepers
and dump truck; empties trash receptacles; washes patio and
entryways; and provides flood irrigation service
5% - Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure safe working
conditions and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to
successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those
listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements
set forth in law or regulation.
