Job Summary
This position maintains the overall Jamf infrastructure, which
manages all of the Apple/Mac inventory on campus - all Macs and
iPads. As the Jamf Infrastructure Admin Sr., this position will
focus on supporting all Apple devices for two community college
campuses. Working within the context of a district-wide community
of practice, the need for consistency across all participating
Maricopa Community College campuses is important. This position
will develop configuration policies, test and document findings,
effectively communicate procedures, and actively train downstream
support teams to ensure the consistent use of all Apple devices.
Continually monitoring Apple and Jamf communities, this position
will also act in an R&D manner to improve Apple/MAC management
for our campuses. Applying contemporary techniques and finding
innovative solutions is paramount.
Essential Functions
50% - Maintain and advance Jamf Infrastructure, concentrating on
system development, integration, image creation/deployment, and
device policies. MDM management, including configuration profiles
to manage 500+ active Apple devices
15% - Imaging computers and packaging software. Manage DEP, VPP,
Apple School Manager in District Education Institutional
environment, and integration with Jamf Pro
10% - Other duties as assigned, including presenting, training team
members, documentation, and knowledge base contribution
15% - Research and development for continuous improvement of
Apple/MAC management
10% - Tier 3 level support (escalated from Tier 1 and 2)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in
information technology or a directly related field and two (2)
years of technical experience in the support of Jamf Infrastructure
and MDM solutions for Apple/Mac systems support.
OR
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in
information technology or a directly related field and four (4)
years of technical experience in the support of Jamf Infrastructure
and MDM solutions for Apple/Mac systems support.
OR
Six (6) years of technical experience in the support of Jamf
Infrastructure and MDM solutions for Apple/Mac systems support.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly
related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to
successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those
listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements
set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience leading a team or supervising IT
professionals. Four (4) years of experience in macOS/iOS management
(Jamf or other MDM tool) One (1) year of experience in bash/python
scripting One (1) year of experience in basic networking technology
(VPN, firewalls, DNS, proxies) One (1) year of experience in
installing and maintaining mac and Linux servers One (1) year of
experience in patch AND identify management solutions (AutoPKG,
Istallomator, NoMAD, Jamf Connect, etc.) Certified Jamf 200 level,
or higher
