Part-time legal file/records clerk needed to assist busy family
law firm in Glendale, CA.
Must be able to identify, read and sort through a wide variety of
legal documents and correspondence (pleadings, deposition
transcripts, discovery, etc.) and keep client files organized and
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be
able to read and write in English (work must be legible,
professional, and free of grammar/spelling errors).
Assist with compiling key documents, exhibits, and putting together
folders for trial prep, depo prep, and mediation prep.
Must be able to create and draft index tables within WordPerfect or
Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must have strong organizational skills and high attention to
Must be reliable and demonstrate strong sense of urgency and work
Must be proficient at basic computer skills and able to use
standard office equipment.
Must be a self-starter and quick learner.
Must be able to successfully perform assigned job duties and
responsibilities under little or no supervision.
Must be able to work between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM, and
occasionally more as needed to complete assigned projects.
Law firm experience is a plus.
Sorting, filing, moving files from drawers, setting up file boxes,
organizing, pulling files as needed, using computer to generate
index tables, general clerical support to assigned team, and
general office duties including, conference room set up/clean up,
back up for reception desk (answering phones, greeting clients and
guests), and occasionally performing messenger services or other
errands outside the office.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour, depending on experience
Monday to Friday
