This role assists in digital marketing to increase brand awareness and lead generation across the following areas: SEM/SEO, display, social, native and video, and partner digital channels. This role is critical in driving growth in sales, through storytelling, CRM management and showing return on investment for activities.


Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role is critical in driving growth in consumer and agent demand and sales. This is a multifaceted role contributing to our storytelling, including developing and executing digital content across African Travels paid, owned, and partner channels that drives sales results.

This person should have a strong understanding of content needs/nuances of various digital media channels, with the skills to edit and craft stories and assets applicable to each. This role will apply SEO best practices, manage webpages and blogs, suggest new digital opportunities for the brand, as well as craft appropriate digital assets for channel specific distribution (i.e. social, native, blogs, digital ads, newsletters, CRM, partner usage).

He/she is comfortable and familiar with digital analytics, social and digital advertising tools, and possess the skills to compile reports and translate data into recommendations for content, leads and site improvements.


  • Deliver digital content and assets across the marketing plan that generates leads and increases advisors and consumers to African Travel
  • Develop relevant digital content aligned to brand positioning, new product releases and SEO best practices and optimize to leads and engagement.
  • Manage website content, tactical landing pages and evergreen pages on to increase leads and sales
  • Assist with online communications to improve the end-consumer user-experience and online results by reviewing, making recommendations to content, user path, call-to-actions, aesthetics and other web components and implement these changes
  • Improve SEO to drive new and future leads and site engagement
  • Deliver customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives including developing newsletters and eDMs to attract and retain large databases across trade and consumers, including development of content, deployment, nuture campaigns and reporting
  • Leverage passenger reviews, social (developed by PR team) and UGC content for digital and content marketing opportunities
  • Ability to leverage digital analytics tools to understand, report and improve campaign performance. Provide reports on website, content and campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Alliance teams to deliver digital ad campaigns including asset development and buy optimization. Knowledge of tools to run paid digital campaigns.


  • Proven work experience in previous digital marketing and/or content marketing roles
  • Strong understanding of SEO and Google Analytics, including setting up custom dashboards and tracking against KPIs
  • Strong understanding of site metrics and making strategic decisions based on data
  • Experience managing, communicating and building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Understanding of the media buying landscapes and digital distribution channels
  • Strong social media skills and a deep understanding of social media best practices for engagement, fan growth and measurement
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Communication and team management skills
  • Knowledge of latest trends including demand generation, CRM, metrics and measurement, nurture strategies, digital, online and virtual events
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Able to multi-task and effectively manage several projects at once
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint)
  • Experienced with CRM, including SalesForce and Marketing Cloud
  • Knowledge in working with Google Ads, YouTube, etc
  • 5+ years experience
