Under general direction, performs administrative and advanced
professional engineering work and performs a variety of technical
tasks relative to area of assignment. This position will be
assigned to the City of Glendale's Water Services Department, which
is seeking a results-oriented Principal Engineer with professional
engineering experience in capital planning, assessment, design and
construction of Water Treatment, Water Reclamation, Water
Distribution, and/or Wastewater Collection systems. This assignment
requires the use of strong leadership skills including independent
judgment, initiative and interpersonal skills in developing and
implementing the capital program for the Water Services Department.
This position implements the capital program through coordination
with direct reports, Water Department staff, Engineering Department
staff, consultants and contractors. Work is performed under the
general direction of a Deputy Water Services Director and
performance is evaluated based on results achieved.
