Summary:

This Senior Product Manager will work with a product team of experienced educators, designers, and developers to create innovative digital learning experiences for children! In this role, you will have the enviable opportunity to help determine the features, benefits, and user experience of Age of Learning's MMO learning product, Adventure Academy. You will monitor product performance and key metrics to help make decisions on priority, business value, and functionality for work done in an agile development environment with a combined desktop and mobile team.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in product development, digital media, gaming, and ideally, experience in education as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define the long-term vision of the game and feature roadmap as part of the Product Roadmap Team
  • Prioritize the roadmap with parallel, often competing, KPI impacting deliverables to optimize the lifetime value of the player base with a deep understanding of design and engagement mechanics
  • Identify and direct execution of improvements in functionality, content, and design to increase product adoption, engagement, educational impact, and product retention
  • Own your development team backlogs and successfully communicate your product or feature vision and strategy with development pods (including client engineers, backend engineers, game designers, UI/X designers, QA and scrum masters), product team, and other stakeholders
  • See feature development from concept to launch, from post-launch analysis to ongoing optimization, to deliver best in class features that achieve KPI goals set by the Product Team and you with a CEO-like mindset
  • Collaborate extensively with feature planning and optimization: define testing protocol, set up and execute multivariate tests, establish benchmarks internally and externally, measure performance and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Review and manage the analysis of the competitive marketplace, user experience, user research and feedback, and product data to help define product strategy
  • Conduct quantitative analyses of data to provide key insights into product performance and uncover opportunities to improve learning, engagement, and retention KPIs

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a software product manager, with direct responsibility for product engagement and retention KPIs
  • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional disciplines to develop and ship high-quality products
  • Deep understanding of data-driven analysis, design and iteration, and live service operations.
  • Strong business capabilities - experience designing and fine tuning the customer experience by making structured, hypothesis-driven product improvements
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Passion for creating innovative, fun, and compelling learning experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multiple years of experience working within or supporting an agile software development environment
  • Strong experience in quantitative analysis, including the ability to model experience parameters using Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, UX/UI, Game Design, Data Science / Analytics, Engineering, or Agile Project Management
  • Prior gaming or edtech industry experience
  • MBA or master's degree in a technology or business-related field
