Overview

Staff Breast Medical Oncology Physician

This physician will report to the Breast Medical Oncology Section Leader, or designee, and work collaboratively and effectively with the disease-site oncology multidisciplinary teams, hospitalists, the VP, Oncology Services and administrative team members, and all other staff who support cancer patients and cancer services in the outpatient and inpatient settings.

We have seven active multidisciplinary disease teams including Breast, GYN, GI, GU, Thoracic, H&N and malignant Hematology. Each team includes medical, surgical and radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, genetic and supportive care experts. The multidisciplinary teams work closely with the leadership of the Dignity Health Cancer Institute, St. Joseph's and the Dignity Health Medical Group to ensure growth of the comprehensive oncology patient care programs as well as the growth of the clinical trials programs.

The Dignity Health Cancer Institute is located in a 220,000 s.f. building on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, just under 2 miles from the St. Joseph's Campus where the Oncology Inpatient Unit resides. Responsibilities

Dignity Health - Cancer Institute St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ seeks to hire a second full-time, board certified/board eligible Breast Medical Oncologist.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O.
  • AZ Medical License
  • Board certified in an appropriate specialty
  • Willing to participate in teaching and research activities
  • Acceptable references from supervisor, peer, subordinate and a registered nurse
  • Willing to abide by and promote the mission and values of Dignity Health and CommonSpirit Health.
