Job Description: This position performs the functions of shipping and receiving, material handling, inventory management and record-keeping for incoming and outgoing shipments of company products and vendor parts necessary to manufacturing of products; stores and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensures accuracy and timeliness of all job functions; verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. You Will: Determines method of shipment and prepares bills, invoices and other shipping documents. Receive material - check and signs delivery slips, and assists with unloading as necessary. Inspect and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods. Accept or returns material according to established company procedures. Prints and affixes proper labels. Organize distribution and shipping of merchandise. Make necessary verifications against documents. May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods. Maintain internal record-keeping systems. Contact transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace or return material that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders. Assembles containers and crates, packs goods to be shipped and prepares identifying information and shipping instructions. Take inventory, maintain storage area, organize and place stock on shelves. Ensure area is secure at all times. You Bring: High School Diploma or GED required 2-3 years related experience in shipping activities in a manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment Supervisory experience would be an asset Strong organizational skills Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with an attention to detail Strong analytical ability Essential Physical Requirements: Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment. Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery. Requires fine motor skills and grip strength. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10–50 lbs. regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. with assistance. Reaching and Bending: Routine reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting waist, and squatting as part of process and tasks. Repetitive Motions: Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movements for tasks such as fastening, positioning, and installing. Climbing: Occasional use of steps to access different height level areas. PPE Expectations: Must wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, protective sleeves, eye and hearing protection) as per company safety standards.
