Job Description:

As a Network Installation Technician at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be part of an essential team that installs, configures, and maintains network systems across our rapidly expanding cloud infrastructure. This role involves both on-site and remote setup of network components, troubleshooting of network systems, and ensuring that all installations adhere to AWS's high standards for speed, efficiency, and scalability. Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting Arrange scheduled upgrades Investigate faults in the network Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases Report network status to key stakeholders Profound knowledge of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, WAN/LAN, subnetting, and VLAN Familiarity with various network types including LANs, WANs, WLANs, SANs, and VoIP Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems Proficiency with installing and configuring computer networks and systems Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Certified Network Professional (CCNP) CompTIA Network certification
