a Front-End Software Engineer (Associate/Experienced) to join our
team in Mesa, AZ or Colorado Springs, CO.
-This position will support the Boeing Satellite Mission Software
Products organization.We are seeking software engineers to be
innovators and leaders in the development of our nation's next
generation of satellite and space flight ground systems.We need
skilled and motivated software developers who want to take their
skills to the next level through hands-on development on a diverse
multi-disciplined team of engineers, using the latest tools and
methodologies for multiple long-term satellite ground system
projects, in both commercial and government realms.Primary
Responsibilities:
- Developing, documenting and maintaining architectures,
requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software
systems
- Performing software lifecycle management and software supplier
management functions
- Selecting, tailoring and deploying software processes, tools
and metrics
- Developing software verification plans, test procedures and
test environments, completing the test procedures and detailing
test results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Completing and detailing software research and development
projects
- Aiding with software verification plans, test procedures and
test environments, as well as with the execution of test procedures
and documentation of test results to ensure software system
requirements are met
- Growing into as an authority for one or more software domains

experience levels including Associate and Experienced Level
Software Engineers.This position is hybrid. - This means that the
selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at
one of the listed location options. - This is at the hiring team's
discretion and could potentially change in the future.This position
requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. - - -An
interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is
required.Post-start Security Clearance/Special Program Access or
other Government Access Requirements is required.Basic
Qualifications:
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software
Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other
technical degree
- 1+ year's experience with front-end software development
- 1+ year's experience in software development using JavaScript,
Java and/or C++
- 1+ year's experience working with Unix/Linux distributions
using command line terminals and GUI based desktop
environmentsPreferred Qualifications:
- An active U.S. TS/SCI Security Clearance is highly desirable. -
The U.S. Security Clearance is considered active if held within the
past 24 months.
- 3+ year's experience with front-end software development
- 3+ year's experience in software development using JavaScript,
Java and/or C++
- 3+ year's experience working with Unix/Linux distributions
using command line terminals and GUI based desktop
environments
- Proficiency with React
- Experience using team collaboration tools including Git, JIRA
Agile, and Confluence
- Experience building REST based services and/or applications
that communicate with REST services
- Experience developing containerized microservices deployed into
a cloud based orchestration framework such as AWS, Docker Swarm, or
OpenShift
- Experience building single page applications using Javascript,
React, Redux, HTML5, and CSS
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web
TokenTypical Education / Experience: Associate (Level
2)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the
preferred, although not required, accreditation
standard.Experienced (Level 3)Education/experience typically
acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited
course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics,
physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'
related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical
education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:Relocation
