Developer III. Join us and support CSAA IG in achieving our goals.
Your Role: The SmartCOMM Developer is responsible for developing
solutions using SmartCOMM; forms, attachment rules, data mapping,
etc. The role will involve design, develop, modify templates, data
model, styles in SmartCOMM and partnering with leads and architects
to help establish a technical vision and deliver innovative
capabilities which are consistent, maintainable, and highly
scalable for various personal line products offered at CSAA IG. The
developer will provide technical consulting to management, business
analysts and technical associates.Your work: (Essential
responsibilities)
- Responsible for the design, development, testing, and support
of application improvements for the SmartCOMM application.
- Demonstrate in-depth, hands-on knowledge and experience with
SmartCOMM Pure Cloud and Hybrid implementations.
- Well versed in creation of Static Layouts for Print and
Responsive Layouts for Web
- Designing multi-channel templates
- Technical knowledge in creating Simple, Scriptable Batch
Config/Template Selector, Output Configurations for post processing
and SmartCOMM APIs
- Designing multi-channel templates
- Define solutions, provide estimates on effort and risk, and
evaluate technical feasibility
- Quickly learn and understand the upstream and downstream
applications like the Claims and Policy system, the Orchestrator
solution, Archival solution and Print room requisites.
- Use modern build strategies, continuous integration, unit
testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests
- Well versed with preparation of the XML data schema and their
mapping to business data objects
- Deliver software in Scrum or other agile development
process/methodologies
- Designs and develops test plans for unit testing, integration
testing, and user acceptance testing
- Supports production deployments and automation, actively lead
monitoring, job control, and production support, and participates
in and provides support for production issues related to the
SmartCOMM application.
- Stay up-to-date with the new upgrades and new feature additions
in SmartCOMM Pure Cloud environment.
- Evaluate new SmartCOMM features and make recommendations for
inducting the same into current application.
- Perform technical code reviews and pair programming
- Reliable technical professional that can handle job
responsibilities autonomouslyWhat would make us excited about you?
- Bachelor's degree in related area (Computer Science,
Information Systems, Engineering) or an equivalent combination of
education and experience
- 3 - 5 years of template layout, stylesheet, data model, OP
Config and Template Selector development in SmartCOMM.
- 7+ years of technical experience in enterprise-level
application design, execution, and software deployments
- Hands-on development expertise on SmartCOMM Modules - Data
Modeler, Advanced Template Designer, Web Editor, and APIs
- Sound knowledge in generating Interactive communications (Draft
Editor)
- Expertise on .NET, JSON, Web services is desirable
- Skilled in application design and demonstrated ability to
understand new technical concepts and apply them
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and
balance conflicting priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to include
documentation
- Ability to collaborate with peers and project teams on
sophisticated projects and issues progress and provide status
reports to management

$103,770-$115,300. However, we have a location-based compensation
structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on
county of residence. The full salary range hourly rate range for
this position across all the states we hire in is $93,420-$138,400.
This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual
discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up
