concept from Hi Noon Hospitality, brings the coastal flavors and
welcoming spirit of the Mediterranean to Old Town Scottsdale.
Opening in fall of 2025, the restaurant features vibrant alfresco
dining, house made pita, open-flame grilled specialties, crudos,
spreads, and seasonal dishes inspired by over 20 Mediterranean
countries. Our pastry program will play a central role in
delivering a complete dining experience, featuring both traditional
and innovative desserts with a Mediterranean influence. Position
Overview As Pastry Chef at Pinyon, you’ll lead the pastry program
in a high-volume, scratch kitchen. From breads and doughs to
elegant plated desserts, you will combine technical skill with
creativity to craft offerings that complement and elevate our
coastal Mediterranean menu. This role requires strong organization,
leadership, and the ability to execute consistently at scale while
inspiring the pastry team. Key Responsibilities Design and execute
a Mediterranean-inspired pastry and dessert menu that aligns with
Pinyon’s culinary vision. Lead production of breads, doughs,
desserts, and pastries for high-volume service. Maintain
consistency and precision in recipes, presentation, and portion
standards. Train, mentor, and manage pastry team members to uphold
excellence across shifts. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and
culinary leadership on seasonal menu changes and specials. Ensure
proper inventory, ordering, and cost management for the pastry
department. Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
standards across pastry and prep areas. Adapt quickly to the pace
and demands of an extremely high-volume kitchen. Qualifications 1
years pastry experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant;
leadership experience preferred. Strong technical knowledge of
pastry, bread, and dessert production. Creative eye for
Mediterranean-inspired flavor combinations and plating. Excellent
organizational and time-management skills. Ability to train and
lead a pastry team in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented
mindset with excellent communication skills. Flexible availability,
