We're growing our team and are looking for Kitchen Supervisors for our location in Glendale.Eggslut Glendale - 252 S Brand Blvd. Suite D, Glendale, CA. 91204Hours of Operation: 8:00AM - 2:00PM, 7 Days A WeekOBJECTIVEThe Kitchen Supervisor assists in ensuring the quality standard of food, ingredients, processes and procedures for Eggslut. They are accountable for assisting the operations of the restaurant including purchasing, food safety and sanitation, training, hiring and development of Cooks, Prep Staff, and Dishwashers. The Kitchen Supervisor must assist and communicate with Management and Shift Supervisor as needed. In order to maintain job status, the Kitchen Supervisor must present full-time schedule availability. Overall, their job is to ensure that Eggslut's kitchen is working properly for efficient service.REPORTS TO: ManagementDIRECT REPORTS: All Line/Prep StaffCLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt; HourlyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- The ability to speak, see, hear, read, and write - mobility and manual dexterity- The ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal direction- The ability to bend, crouch, stand, and perform movement for up to 8-10 hours a day- The ability to lift heavy items (20+ lbs)- The ability to be exposed to wet floors, noise, and temperature extremes- The ability to perform in a fast paced, busy environment with attention to detail QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS- Must have valid U.S. identification/work authorization (required)- Servsafe certified (or other Food Handler certification)- Highly-driven individual who enjoys working with people- Right attitude necessary to work in fast-paced environment with others- Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed- Excellent communication, organization and problem solving skills- Demonstrate commitment to excellent guest serviceDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- When needed, display ability to efficiently work all designated stations (Egg, Meat, Bread, Gaucho/Salad, Prep/Dish, Register, Middle, FOH BOH Expo) and/or delegate the work as stated in the Station Handbook (display ability to cover multiple stations when needed)- Have the flexibility to fulfill any BOH position based on the needs of the operation as communicated by Store Management (perform other duties as assigned)- Responsible for produce, meat, bread and dairy orders- Adjust order pars as needed while managing proper inventory; assist in Month-End inventory- Keep order on the line and keep labor under control; Lead by example and ensure that all staff are working efficiently while maintaining a professional yet fun atmosphere during shift- Check prep daily (making sure prep staff is properly preparing correct amounts)- Keep track of waste, check expiration dates daily (making sure product is properly rotated)- Ensure sure kitchen staff is following weekly work schedule- Open and close store; ensure opening and closing store is done properly- Keep line and prep staff accountable (address mistakes, tardiness, absenteeism, etc.)- Responsible for sending line and prep staff on breaks- Responsible for designating stations for line cooks at start of shift / return from break- Uphold the highest standards for product quality, recipe adherence and unit performance- Ensure proper food handling and presentation- Conduct line checks on all shifts to ensure organized and efficient service- Maintain and complete BOH cleaning lists and schedules- Ensure walk-in/storage are clean and organized and all deliveries are put away accordingly- Assist management in training of kitchen staff- Assist Management in handling and resolving customer complaints- Maintain a high level of communication with management- Document and communicate employee issues (lateness, tardiness, and performance issues), food issues (items out of stock, line check notes about quality) and other pertinent information- Ensure documents and invoices are filed properlyStop by and say 'hello'!
