Senior Construction Estimator (High Rise, Hotel, Hospitality Building Construction) Los Angeles, CA Our Los Angeles, CA office is in immediate need of a Senior Construction Estimator with past experience estimating the construction of large scale high rise, hotel, hospitality, multifamily, restaurant, bar & nightclub projects. The leadership provided by the Construction Estimator is critical to the success of any construction project proposal or bid. Construction Estimators are responsible for managing and coordinating bid resources, staff, schedules and project documentation relating to bids. Responsibilities: Coordinate bids and proposals in the California region. Manage and guide bid aspects of the project, coordinate subcontractor pricing and other budgetary categories, including oversight of bid analysis, general conditions and all technical aspects of bids. Cultivate and maintain working relationships with clients and subcontractors that lead to repeat partnership opportunities. Project bidding and buyout, start-up, construction management and close-out. Pre-bid internal and external meetings coordination, leadership, documentation and follow-up. Hiring, mentoring and leadership of subordinate staff. Communicate in a productive, professional and diplomatic manner at all levels. Implement and manage quality control procedures for best practices in estimating. Manage subcontractor RFIs and other such relationships. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar discipline. Minimum of 20 years as primary Construction Estimator for High Rise, Hotel, Hospitality, Multifamily, Restaurant & Bar and Nightclub projects. Prior oversight of bids of $25MM or more. Excellent organizational and estimating skills. Proficient at all aspects of Microsoft Office, Procore, MS Project, P6 and other estimating softwares. Experience with budget creation on projects of a size of $25MM or more. Experience creating bid packages, leveling bids and writing subcontract scopes of work. Experience managing bid teams of 2 to 5 staff members.
