Surgical Tech Location: Prescott, AZ Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $1,700 to $1,800 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/11/2026 About the Position Surgical Tech - CVOR Location: Prescott, AZ Start Date: 05-11-2026 End Date: 08-10-2026 Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Day) with up to 50% on-call evenings/nights and weekends; 30-minute call response time Hours per Week: 40 Candidate Pay Rate: $45 per hour About United Health Care Staffing At United Health Care Staffing (UHC Staffing), we believe healthcare staffing should be more than just finding a job. Roles & Responsibilities Assist and scrub in cardiovascular cases including CABG, aortic, mitral, valve procedures and TAVR Maintain a sterile field and apply sterile technique consistently throughout cases Prepare and set up ORs and specialized equipment for CVOR and hybrid room procedures Support the surgical team by anticipating instrument needs and ensuring smooth case flow Document case activity in Cerner and communicate effectively with charge nurse and specialty leads Respond to on-call notifications within the required 30-minute window and provide reliable coverage Qualifications BLS certification required for Surgical Techs Minimum 1 year of open heart / cardiovascular OR experience required (posting references up to 2 years) Proven scrub tech experience in a high-volume OR setting Comfortable working in hybrid rooms and assisting with TAVR and valve procedures Ability to respond to on-call duties and meet the 30-minute response expectation Knowledge & Skills Sterile technique and scrubbing proficiency Experience with cardiovascular operating room procedures and open heart cases Familiarity with Cerner EMR for charting and documentation Comfort working in a hybrid room environment Strong teamwork, communication, and the ability to prioritize under pressure Benefits Hospital-provided scrubs so you can pack light and look sharp Supportive OR team with specialty leads and a charge nurse available Structured orientation (12 hours) to get you up to speed Work-life balance with a consistent day schedule plus predictable call expectations Opportunities to work on advanced cardiovascular cases like CABG and TAVR Hands-on experience in a hybrid room and a busy cardiovascular OR Travel Perks: Explore Prescott, AZ Explore Prescott's charming historic downtown and Whiskey Row for cafes and local shops, hike Thumb Butte or the Granite Dells for beautiful trails and rock formations, enjoy boating and scenic walks at Watson Lake, and take day trips to Sedona for red rock views or Flagstaff for alpine scenery.
