Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring an AZ or compact RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and recent Level I trauma experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a Level I trauma Cardiac Cath Lab within an acute care hospital setting - Handles interventional, electrophysiology (EP), peripheral vascular, cardiology, mitral clip, TAVR, and IABP cases - Three main labs with additional EP and hybrid rooms supporting both vascular and cardiac procedures - 12-hour day shifts (6:00 am – 6:30 pm), Monday to Friday, with 3 shifts per week - Call required, 8 to 12 call shifts per month, with a 30-minute on-site response time - Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per every 4-week schedule - Rotating holiday coverage based on unit needs - Uses Cerner and Xper EMR systems; experience preferred - Works with Philips and Siemens equipment and telemetry - Charge nurse and techs (rad techs, nurse aides) provide support in circulation and endovascular procedures - Responsibilities include circulating for a variety of cardiac and vascular cath lab cases - Works closely with rad techs and a supportive multi-disciplinary team, with access to pharmacy and RT 24/7 - Scrubs are provided by the facility - Comprehensive two-day unit-specific orientation provided - Candidates may not have been directly employed by related health systems (CommonSpirit, CHI, Dignity) within the last year - First-time travelers will be considered - Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel assignment in Arizona /n /n Requirements/n - Active AZ or compact RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted - Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience, with experience in a busy Level I trauma setting required - Active BLS and ACLS certifications required - Experience with Cardiac Cath Lab procedures and circulating role required; no scrubbing duties for RN - Ability to respond onsite within 30 minutes for call shifts - Cerner and Xper EMR experience preferred - Must provide a copy of driver’s license - Professional references required: one supervisor reference from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the past 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility - Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam prior to offer - Must pass sterile technique tests for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing change during orientation /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-653321.
