Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Chandler, Arizona,

within the past 6 months License: Required Certifications: BLS,
ACLS Must-Have: Tele experience required Ability to read strips
Must be able to titrate down Amiodarone and Cardizem Pass a
dysrhythmia exam prior to start Pass a simulation lab on the first
day of orientation Description: This position requires tele
experience. Candidates must not reside within a 50-mile radius of
the facility. Travelers will need to demonstrate proficiency in
reading dysrhythmias and will have two attempts to pass the exam
within 48 hours of the offer. Candidates who fail the exam will be
marked as Do Not Use for 6 months in the assigned regions. There is
also a simulation lab assessment that must be passed on the first
day of orientation; failing will result in a 6-month Do Not Use
status. The unit consists of 32 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4
during days and nights. There is a charge nurse who does not take
patients and a unit supervisor available. Patient care technicians
will be present during day shifts and at least one task RN will be
available during night shifts. Weekend requirements include working
4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period, covering both Saturday and
Sunday mornings or Friday and Saturday nights. Shifts are 12 hours
long, beginning at 7 PM and ending at 7 AM. Floating to other tele
units is required as part of the job responsibilities. Common
patient diagnoses include 80% surgical cases and 20% oncology
cases. Patients typically undergo orthopedic, surgical, and
urological procedures. There is a house SWAT nurse available for
difficult IV access situations. Pharmacy services are available
24/7. Central monitoring station tech will assist in reading
telemetry data. Spectralink phones are provided for communication
with attached call lights. There is a cancellation policy where the
facility can cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment.
Charting is performed using an electronic medical record system.
Floating may occur to other sister facilities as needed. 5 Benefits
