Overview: The Senior Mammography Technologist is responsible for
executing specialized radiological procedures aimed at diagnosing
and treating breast diseases, ensuring the production of
high-quality mammographic images in outpatient environments. This
role encompasses quality control duties as required by federal
regulations and may also include additional radiographic and bone
densitometry examinations. Candidates must hold certification from
recognized radiologic technology boards and will benefit from a

This role necessitates the execution of various radiological
technical procedures tailored to the diagnosis and treatment of
breast diseases in a busy outpatient setting, whether stationary or
mobile. The technologist is accountable for generating high-quality
radiographic images while providing compassionate and reassuring
interactions with all patients. Responsibilities include conducting
essential quality control activities as stipulated by the
Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA, either as a
designated Quality Control technologist or under their supervision.
Depending on the location, the technologist may also be required to
apply general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology
exams, conduct bone densitometry (DEXA), or carry out
breast-related special procedures in collaboration with physician

formal radiologic technology training program that meets the
criteria for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) Upon hiring: Washington Radiologic
Technologist certification Upon hiring: National Provider BLS
certification from the American Heart Association Upon hiring:
National Registered Technologist - Radiography certification from
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Must obtain
National Registered Technologist - Mammography certification within
one year of hire Preferred Qualifications: Two years of full-time

wage range reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this
position. The successful candidate's placement within this range
will be determined based on relevant experience and other
applicable factors. This range represents base pay; additional
compensation may be available for this role, including shift
differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, premiums, extra shift
