Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule • 3 out of 6 main holidays required • Patient ratios: 1:2 for ICU patients, 1:3 for Med/Surg patients, 1:4 for tele patients • Must be comfortable working with both ICU and Med/Surg Tele patients with expectation of 50% time in non-ICU environment • Float to Med/Surg unit or possibly to MICU at main campus • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes • Basic Dysrhythmia Exam required prior to contract • Must have natural hair color • Navy scrub color required • Work with ventilated patients and vasoactive drips • Required to interpret EKGs using Phillips telemetry • EMR system: Cerner • 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided • Must be independent as may be only RN on unit with resource nurse and tech • Strong general Medical and Surgical ICU experience required • Positive attitude and strong teamwork essential • Must have own vehicle for travel • Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This healthcare facility features a Multi-Operational Services Unit (MOSU) that is licensed to provide any level of care within the space. The facility operates a 5-bed ICU/MOSU unit with lower acuity than traditional ICU settings, typically staffed with 2 nurses for 4 patients. The facility provides comprehensive services including respiratory therapy 24/7, SWAT RN for rapid response and PICC lines, and pharmacy services. The unit handles various conditions including vasoactive drips, vent weaning, sepsis, cardiac conditions, and endocrine emergencies, with more critical patients transferred to the main campus when needed.
