Job Description:

GI Alliance is searching for a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator to join our elite team. This role revolves around facilitating seamless surgical experiences for both patients and physicians across our specialized gastroenterology practice network. Our focus at GI Alliance is to combine personalized patient care with cutting-edge research and quality medical services, making us a pioneer in the field. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in managing surgical schedules, resources, and communications to ensure that all procedures are executed efficiently and with the highest level of care. Coordinate all aspects of patient surgeries, including scheduling, pre-operative preparation, and post-operative care. Liaise with medical staff, surgeons, and administrative teams to communicate updates and changes in surgical scheduling and patient status. Maintain detailed records of all patient interactions, surgical consent forms, pre-operative and post-operative instructions. Ensure all required surgical supplies and equipment are prepared and available for each procedure. Assist in the implementation of compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Provide patients with compassionate support, clear communication, and detailed information throughout their surgical journeys. Help to resolve any scheduling conflicts and handle last-minute changes with professionalism and efficiency. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in healthcare management systems and medical software. Detailed knowledge of medical terminology, especially gastroenterology and surgical procedures. Capability to work under pressure and flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Certification from the American Association of Surgical Assistants or a similar recognized body is advantageous.
