Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Duration: Ongoing - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Staff The NICU Registered Nurse provides professional, compassionate nursing care to neonates within our Level III NICU. This role coordinates care planning with the multidisciplinary team and renders individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. The RN systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to support optimal patient outcomes. - Provide safe, evidence-based care to critically ill infants. - Act as a clinical leader by assessing, planning, delegating, and using independent judgment to direct other healthcare team members. - Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated patient care. - Participate in hourly rounding and follow safety guidelines and best practices. - Supervise and mentor other members of the healthcare team.
