ICU/Critical Care RN in Glendale, Arizona, 85305! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Float to Med
Surg Tele and ED Holds Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Basic Dysrhythmia Exam
required prior to contract submission. Must be able and willing to
work with Med Surg Tele patients as needed. Strong general Medical
and Surgical ICU experience required. Proficient with vasoactive
drips. Independent work capability is essential, particularly in
scenarios where the registered nurse may be the only one on the
unit. Description: Registered Nurse needed for a role requiring ICU
and Med Surg Tele skills. The nurse will be floating between
Intensive Care Unit and Med Surg Tele patients. Expect to care for
a mix of patients, including those upgraded or downgraded between
ICU and Med Surg. Candidates will be required to complete a skills
lab upon starting. The lab includes assessment of Foley catheter
insertion and central line dressing changes. Maintaining a sterile
field during procedures is essential for passing the skills
assessment. Nurses will be assigned based on patient acuity and
need. Typical patient loads will consist of 2 ICU patients or 3 Med
Surg patients. The unit may also include Multi-Operational
Services. A charge nurse will oversee the unit and maintain a light
patient load according to the census. The environment supports a
collaborative teamwork approach. Candidates should possess a
positive attitude and a strong commitment to patient care. Some
patients may require complex care including invasive monitoring and
interventions. Flexibility is required as the role may involve
floating to various departments as needed. Additionally,
expectations may include operating ventilators and interpreting
EKGs. Candidates should be comfortable working in high acuity
settings. This position would require weekend and holiday shifts
