seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with
C-section experience and current CA RN license required.
Responsibilities Position is in an acute care hospital setting on
the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit Unit includes 10 L&D
beds, 2 ORs in L&D, 2 triage beds, and 18 postpartum beds
Patient population includes antepartum, postpartum, full-term and
high-risk pregnancies, with deliveries down to 23 weeks gestation
Staff supports about 130 births per month Patient ratios: 1:1 close
to delivery, 1:2 other times, and 1:4 couplets on postpartum
C-section scrub, recovery, and circulating experience required
12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required Float to
postpartum or mother-baby as needed, L&D to postpartum only No
on-call responsibilities Cerner EMR is used, experience preferred
Obix fetal monitoring system is used Care for patients throughout
labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period, including some
high-risk and antepartum cases Must be able to manage fetal
monitoring and support surgical births Charge nurse shared between
L&D and postpartum units 12-hour shift schedule with
expectation to work one major and one minor holiday during
assignment Floor-specific orientation provided Scrubs are provided
for staff First to float as needed within scope RT and pharmacy
available 24/7 Returning candidates must not have been employed by
CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the previous year
Requirements Active California RN license required at time of
consideration Minimum 2 years of prior L&D experience required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Advanced Fetal
Monitoring (AWHONN AFM or equivalent) C-section scrub, recovery,
and circulating skills required Recent L&D travel experience
preferred Two professional references: one supervisor from within
the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last
3 years Copy of valid driver's license required for consideration
