Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification. Responsibilities - Work in a combined ICU setting with adult and geriatric patients - 24-bed unit with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 - Common diagnoses include sepsis, respiratory distress, heart failure, and post-cardiac procedures - Special procedures performed include intubations, bronchoscopies, sedation, endoscopies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, chest tubes, bedside lumbar punctures, and tracheostomies - Uses Philips monitors and Spectrum pumps - Charting is done in Cerner - Night shift (NOC), 12-hour shifts - Floating required within skillset, including to Med Surg and Telemetry as needed - Assignment length is 13 weeks - Support available from auxiliary staff - Documentation must be complete and accurate in Cerner - Scrubs may be any solid color, with navy blue common - First time travelers may be considered - Travelers may only work up to 780 hours in the past 12 months with this health system and must take a 12-month break after 2 assignments - Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled Requirements - Active AZ or compact RN license - Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - Experience with adult and geriatric ICU patients preferred - Experience with Cerner EMR preferred - COVID and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exceptions accepted) Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-619797.
