The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $17.35/hr with benefits including:Free entry to any Six Flags Park for all employees and a guest with each visitAdditional complimentary tickets for friends and familyFlexible scheduling optionsDaily and weekly pay availableWHAT YOU WILL DO:As a Safety/EMT Supervisor, you will oversee and supervise the safety and emergency medical services (EMS) team to ensure the safety and well-being of Six Flags guests and employees. You will be responsible for managing daily EMS operations, coordinating response to medical emergencies, and ensuring that safety protocols are followed. You will also assist in maintaining First Aid equipment and facilities, conduct inspections, and lead a team of EMTs to respond effectively to emergency situations.HOW YOU WILL DO IT:Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Safety/EMT team, ensuring efficient response to all emergency medical incidentsProvide on-the-job guidance and support to EMT staff, ensuring they are equipped and trained to handle emergencies effectivelyRespond to and manage emergency situations, including providing medical care and transportation for both guests and employeesMaintain and inspect all First Aid and EMS equipment, ensuring readiness at all timesComplete and review medical reports, including First Aid reports, STARS data, and GEMSIS documentation, for accuracy and complianceConduct safety audits and inspections throughout the park, including ride audits and safety equipment checksEnsure the safety and cleanliness standards of the First Aid facilities are metOversee and assist in the training and certification of EMT staffMonitor staff compliance with park safety and EMS procedures, maintaining a professional, courteous, and clean environmentAddress any guest or employee concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptlyAct as a liaison between management and safety personnel to ensure effective communication of safety protocols and emergency response proceduresComplete any other tasks as directed by Six Flags managementWHAT YOU WILL NEED:MUST BE at least 21 years of ageValid Drivers LicenseHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredMust maintain applicable National Registry certifications (EMT-B)Must have previous experience as an EMT or in a similar EMS role, with supervisory experience preferredPossess and maintain a valid and current park driving permitExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interpret written, oral, and diagnostic form instructionsAbility to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressureStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a teamAbility to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with loud noises and flashing lightsAbility to handle physical and emotional stress while responding to emergenciesAbility to calculate weight and volume ratios and read small print, both under life-threatening time constraintsAbility to read, converse, and understand EnglishAbility to appropriately interview patients, family members, bystanders, and witnessesAbility to document all relevant information accurately and in a prescribed formatPreferred to have experience with Origami Risk.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift, carry, manipulate, and operate medical equipment in excess of 75 poundsAbility to walk, run, bend, stoop, and crawl on uneven terrainAbility to withstand extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, moisture, and drynessAbility to perform EMS and occupational functions as requiredOTHER NOTES:All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.?Reports to Operations Leadership??While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties when circumstances (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs, or technological developments) dictate.
