Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for Health Educators. The Health Educator reports to a Senior Health Educator and is part of the School Technical Assistance Team (STAT). The overall goal of the STAT team is to Provide technical assistance to K-12 schools reopening for in- person learning to ensure compliance with Los Angeles County COVID -19 Health Officer Orders. The Health Educator (HE) will provide technical assistance to schools, LEAs, and COE to ensure the safely reopening of K-12 school sites for in-person learning; Receives TA assignments, reviews intake forms and acts as primary contact for school, LEAs, COE, for technical assistance/guidance and support.A successful candidate will have a Master's Degree from a program of study accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health with specialization in Public Health Education, Community Health Education, or equivalent.The positions will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and are initially funded through 2/22/2022 with potential renewal.Pay Rate-$35.60/hr working 40 hours a weekBenefits:Paid Holidays, Paid Sick Time, PTOHealthcareEmployer Fully Funded Healthcare (Anthem Blue Cross), Dental and Vision, Life Insurance from Initial Start Date.Shifts:This is a Fulltime position (M-F) that will require a combination of telework and field work. Position is a 40 hour a week position, but schedule may vary to meet program needs. Typical work hours are 8am- 5pm M-F but may include some weekends and evenings.Location:Los Angeles CountyJob DutiesHealth Educator (HE) Provides Technical assistance to schools, LEAs, and COE to ensure the safely reopening of K-12 school sites for in-person learning; Receives TA assignments, reviews intake forms and acts as primary contact for school, LEAs, COE, for technical assistance/guidance and support.HEs are responsible for follow up leading to the completion and or closure of the TA request.HE will engage in follow up procedures by coordinating and or scheduling follow up calls, messaging, reviewing checklists, etc. with school/ LEA or COE personnel and completing required data entry regarding TA request/inquiry.HEs assists schools, LEAs, COE and other County departments in recognizing and evaluating conditions contributing to safely reopening schools. Health Educator may conduct site visit/review checklist and determine if additional interventions are required; Is responsible for completing documentation of TA provided and follow up done via data systems/trackers set in place by STAT team.Provide expertise in health education methods by collaborating with schools, LEAs, COE and service planning area staff to develop and conduct health education programs, promote program initiatives and or provide in-service public health education training.Meets and contacts a variety of community stakeholders such as teachers, and others at various levels in the community in order to gain their feedback/support and cooperation in planning, promoting, implementing, and evaluating TA need.Advises Senior Health Educators and other administrative staff in program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of health education priorities for the service planning area.Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:California Law requires a Master's Degree from a program of study accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health with specialization in Public Health Education, Community Health Education, or equivalent.A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.Desirable Qualifications:

      • Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude and work ethic;
        • Detail-oriented; and
