Job Description
Job Overview: Implemented by the IRC, the Cultural Orientation
Resource Exchange (CORE) is a technical assistance program that
connects and supports refugee resettlement staff globally to
deliver effective Cultural Orientation (CO), which helps refugees
achieve self-sufficiency in the United States. As part of this
work, CORE hosts and manages digital platforms for resettlement
staff (e.g., CORE website) and newcomer-facing Settle In digital
properties. CORE is funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau
of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM).
The Deputy Director will report to CORE's Director and supervises
CORE Senior Officers to advance CORE's programmatic objectives.
This position will oversee and unify CORE's activities that benefit
newcomers and CO providers, including resettlement staff and
community members. The Deputy Director will support in
implementation of trainings, resource development, responding to
direct TA requests, and digital strategy, while also assisting the
Director in day-to-day operations.
