this role is likely to fall between $150,000 - $175,000, incentive

AVP, Business Development provides oversight to program site
locations through mentoring and guidance to program Care Navigators
to further the development of relationships with managed care
organizations, hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare
providers in the programs' territories. This role is responsible
for generating business in state of California. The AVPBD will lead
multiple Care Navigators in the continuum of care in hospice for
the entire region.Job Responsibilities
- Lead the Care Navigators for the state of California
- Assist the General Manager (GM) and the Market Administrator
(MA) in creating and implementing a business development plan
- Assist the Executive Team in implementing a business
development plan
- Partner with the Market Administrator (MA) and the General
Manager (GM) in developing business for the state of
California
- Provide leadership and accountability by coaching, developing,
and retaining a high performing sales team
- Demonstrate consistency in achieving both admit and census
goals by monitoring and assessing the progress and development of
each Care Navigator/Territory
- Prompt attention and action to any gap in performance to
budgeted expectations and barriers related to these gaps
- Build high performing Sales Team by recruiting and hiring top
sales talent
- Compile, communicate, and execute best practices in the field.
Help develop new ideas, protocols and efficiencies for maximizing
marketing resources to grow market share
- Develop a collaborative partnership with the Operation and
Clinical Leadership team. Create and support a shared vision for
growth between Sales, Clinical, and Operations
- Reports to the Head of Development
- Proactively implements all company initiatives. Brings real
solutions to all challenging situations.
- Any other tasks as assignedSkills and Toolset You'll Need to
Bring
- Strong healthcare background required, preferably in both
managed care and provider organizations. Experience in home health,
hospice or related industry sales leadership strongly
preferred.
- Experience with ACO or bundle payment programs
- Must demonstrate an ability to supervise and direct
professional and administrative personnel
- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication
skills, negotiation skills, public relations skills, problem
solving skills and basic math skills
- Must demonstrate ability to work autonomously
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills especially time
management, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in
performing job responsibilities
- The ability and willingness to travel 50-75% of the time within
the state of CaliforniaRelevant Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing or related field
preferred. Clinical degree or background a plus
- 8+ years of successful strategic account and relationship
management , solutions selling, and understanding product
development, management and/or implementation with complex
mid-large size organizations/customers
- Must live in one of the following five counties: Los Angeles,
Riverside, Orange, Ventura, or San Bernardino
