What You'll Do
    • Ensure safety programs are compliant (Injury Illness Prevention, Hazard Identification, Hazard Control and Correction, CMC safety regulations, policies and procedures)
    • Conducts on-site safety inspections to identify hazards and compliance with OSHA and CMCA safety programs
    • Responsible for developing and executing strategic safety initiatives
    • Monitors changes to health and safety rules and regulations and integrates them into company standards, processes, and practices
    • Provides assistance and supervision to area safety coordinators regarding division safety programs and regulations
    • Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
    • Performs other duties as assigned What You'll Need
      • Minimum 10 years experience in a safety leadership role desired
      • Minimum 5 years experience in safety-related field
      • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% on a regular basis, including over night stays
      • Experience in the construction industry preferred
      • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with a variety of employees at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence actions of others
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
      • Motivate employees to follow the safety culture through administration of a Proactive Safety Measure program and consistent communication of CMC safety standards
      • Good Analysis and evaluation skills
      • Knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations
      • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
      • Must be able to conceptualize, develop, and execute safety initiatives Your Education
        • Bachelor's degree required. Industrial/environmental safety or construction management or related discipline preferred.
        • A combination of formal education and/or directly related work experience may substitute for the degree.
        • OSHA 30 Construction
        • OSHA 500/510 Preferred
