Leads the divisional pharmacy enterprise as the executive leader for all pharmacy and medication management activity within the division. Collaborates with system pharmacy leadership to formulate, implement and advance pharmacy strategic initiatives. Develops, oversees, and is accountable for divisional management of pharmacy services that optimize system, division and facility pharmacy resources. Shares and implements best practices to facilitate standardization of medication management services across the CommonSpirit Health. Leads pharmacy Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for their division; responsible for reporting and optimizing pharmacy key performance indications (KPIs) for their division. Provides direction for use and implementation of all aspects of pharmacy, including clinical pharmacy services, pharmacy operations, pharmacy revenue, medication-related technology, medication information systems, safe medication management practices, cost containment programs, 340b, retail, contract compliance and regulatory oversight of pharmacy to ensure clinical, operational and supply excellence. Supports the organization at all levels (facility, division, system) and all functional areas by leading as a pharmacy subject matter expert for clinical, financial, quality, safety, regulatory, labor, purchasing, and operational functions to optimize and enhance operating results across the company. Role must reside somewhere within the division and agreed upon prior to offer.Accountable for implementing, managing and optimizing of all pharmacy services within the assigned division. Responsible for developing and advancing strategies and processes, collaborating with the system pharmacy team, to improve clinical pharmacy services through evidence-based medication management, reduce supply costs, optimize labor utilization, and facilitates multi-disciplinary care with providers, nurses and patients.Facilitates rapid development and adoption of best practices to optimize and standardize pharmacy services from quality, safety, cost-effective, and operational perspectives.Achieves division and facility level performance measured by the system pharmacy KPI dashboard metrics to deliver high-quality SLA results.Actively participates in national groups including System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, System Pharmacy Meetings (including the Pharmacy Enterprise Executive Council), and Division Pharmacy Meetings. Participates in all divisional and system related activities applicable to pharmacy.Responsible for effective pharmacy communication flow both vertically and horizontally to system pharmacy leaders, divisional leaders, facility administration and pharmacy leaders through clearly defined communications mechanisms to efficiently share information, identify and resolve problems, prioritize customer requirements and optimize performance. Provides regularly scheduled reviews and updates to system, division, and facility leadership.Serves as the division pharmacy liaison and SME for supply chain, service line teams/institutes, and other division-level initiatives.Collaborates with other pharmacy leaders to develop succession planning for their division.Serves as a division contact with consultants on pharmacy related work.B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy requiredMBA, MHA, MPhA or residency in hospital pharmacy administration required.Minimum of 7 years' experience in hospital or health-system pharmacy leadership experience required.Demonstrated change management, standardization and leadership development skills required.Demonstrated ability to create enthusiasm for new programs and different approaches to existing programs required.Demonstrated quality improvement competencies requiredDemonstrated understanding of utilization and productivity in a variety of clinical settings required.Pharmacist License for state within respective division (or ability to acquire within defined time)Experience in clinical pharmacy program development, monitoring and justification preferred.Experience in pharmacy education and program development and planning including accreditation of programs preferred.Experience in clinical technology assessment and implementation preferred.Initiative: Able to identify opportunities, facilitate work groups, and develop new processes.Problem Solving: Analyze interrelated elements of problems and works systematically to solve them, uses sound judgment to develop efficient and feasible resolutions to challenging issues.Relationship Building: Able to develop and maintain relationships with a variety of types of positions, disciplines and individuals at the system, division, and facility levels.
