Role

This role will need to tie together the following to be successful

The role is responsible for the creation of the divisional strategic plan and execution to maximize organizational influence and divisional performance.

  • Strategic Planning - owns strategic planning, the process, and has the skillsets/tools to drive the business to hit required milestones to stay on plan
  • Business Planning/Objectives - someone that will develop and own 1/3/5 year plans tied to traffic/sales/development
  • Performance Analytics - Proactively seeks business/statistical data to provide insight into business performance and suggests areas for and methods of improving operations
  • FP&A/Budgeting/Cost Control - this person will partner with BULs on P&L analysis and produce action items to keep the train on the track
  • Development/Deal Analysis - this role/function will play an active role in analyzing transactional deals for the business
    Responsibilities
    • Responsible for strategic planning, business/financial/metrics analysis including modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis to adequately meet and support the strategic needs of the organization
    • Lead the development of the business units strategic planning process including short- and long-term initiatives that are consistent with corporate objectives
    • Identify business unit P&L improvement opportunities
    • Leads the development of all presentation materials for BOD, investors, and analysts
    • Leads the preparation of all business reviews including financial, sales, marketing, and operations related analysis/research
    • Leads project prioritization and objectives designed to maximize business impact and make recommendations to change in direction. This will include: product forecasting/product analysis and weekly/monthly business reviews
    • Partners with Finance and Consumer Insights resources to provide required forecasting/statistical models, and data-driven analyses based upon key consumer/market/product opportunities
    • Works closely with operations, marketing, and development resources in efficient execution of the budget and forecast commitments, including communication to management of both progress towards attainment and plans to effect course correction as necessary
    • Provides strategic vision that will develop, implement, and support the organizations finance goals and objectives
    • Provides reporting and insight on key financial/accounting metrics, initiatives, trends, and findings
    • Ensures alignment with corporate financial reporting requirements/processes and platforms
    • Acts in concert and partners with corporate finance and other resources (IT) to leverage cross/functional expertise and resources
    • Assists in post-mortem analysis designed to capture/discover key learnings for future business initiatives
      Skills & Requirements
      • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, business, finance, or related field is required - MBA desired
      • Minimum 10 years finance or strategic consulting experience; combination of public and private experience preferred
      • Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects of complex scope
      • Excellent communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, persuade and collaborate with business leaders, franchise owners and cross-functional business partners
      • Advanced knowledge of finance concepts, principles, procedures, regulations and reporting requirements
      • Experience with business driven/self-service business analytics
      • Ability to create vision and structure in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment
      • Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to achieve results through others
      • Ability to build a team and develop talent for the future
      • Ability to direct the development of presentation for Board of Directors, investors, and analysts
      • Restaurant experience preferred - directly or within a consultative role
      • Experience with data science or statistical analysis is a plusby Jobble
