a Manager of Configuration Analysis 2 to support our Armament
Systems Business Unit located in Mesa, AZ. Northrop Grumman’s
Armament Systems Division site in Mesa, Arizona produces automatic
medium caliber gun systems. Northrop Grumman gun systems built for
the U.S. and international militaries have been used in all major
conflicts since World War II in a variety of applications to
include small and large ground vehicles, helicopters, airplanes and
naval ships. Role Description: This position is a leadership role
in the Medium Caliber Gun Systems Business Unit within Northrop
Grumman Defense Systems. As a leader in Guns Engineering, the
Configuration Management Manager leads and manages a team that is
responsible for configuration management, data management and
technical writing functions. This position is located in Mesa,
Arizona. Responsibilities : Lead and manage the configuration
management, data management, and technical writing functions at the
Mesa site Sets role and performance expectations, provides
feedback, coaching, training and growth opportunities for direct
reports Successfully manages assignments and forecasts future
demand such that the functions are appropriately staffed and have
the correct skill sets Provides guidance to staff on interpretation
of operating procedures and process documents Provide technical
guidance in the areas of configuration management, data management
and technical writing Assists the engineering department leader in
preparation and execution of department budgets Leads and
coordinates continuous improvement projects Basic Qualification:
This position emphasizes skills first. 9 years of professional
experience in the areas of configuration management and data
management Will consider Bachelor degree in Management Information
Systems, Business Administration, Information Technology, or
closely related Systems or Programming field of study plus 5 years
of experience; or Master’s degree plus 3 yrs of experience. Prior
management experience is highly desired Demonstrated Experience is
technical writing Familiarity with USG / DoD processes and
requirements involving configuration management, data management
and service manuals Ability to read and interpret engineering
drawings, specifications and system description documents
Demonstrated effectiveness in achieving results through
understanding and management of internal processes and
customer/supplier relationships. Strong oral and written
communication skills with ability to focus on multiple projects
with competing priorities Demonstrated experience in making sound
decisions in uncertain and difficult situations Demonstrated
experience working with customers to ensure project success. U.S.
Citizenship is required Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Primary Level Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $142,600.00 The above
salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop
Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary
offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and
the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible
for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance
coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid
holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal
