Job Description
As a Senior Reliability Engineer, you will work with a
multidisciplinary maintenance team to determine the overall
strategy and plans for the department, providing expertise,
knowledge, and guidance related to predictive and preventive
maintenance, equipment reliability, and condition monitoring. You
will identify system constraints and implement continuous
improvement initiatives to ensure uninterrupted production while
reducing costs.
Your responsibilities will include leading root cause analysis of
equipment failures, researching new reliability processes,
evaluating existing systems, and establishing performance metrics.
You will act as a subject matter expert to identify and implement
corrective actions and technologies that enhance equipment
reliability and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings strong engineering experience, proven
reliability-centered maintenance knowledge, and a proactive
approach to safety and equipment integrity in an industrial
environment.
Duties and Responsibilities Identify system constraints and
proactively pursue their elimination through continuous improvement
cycles. Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment
failures and reduce production costs. Develop maintenance methods
to improve process efficiency and reliability. Lead others and/or
perform root cause analysis of equipment failures. Act as a subject
matter expert and assist in the identification and implementation
of corrective actions or technologies. Research new reliability
processes and identify methods to predict and improve reliability.
Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment. Set
expectations within the department for precision maintenance.
Review and establish Key Performance Indices for equipment.
Identify PM opportunities and maintenance plans by leading failure
mode and effect analysis. Analyze current CMMS data for equipment
health indicators and identify reports to measure health
indicators. Proactively develop and provide safety perspective for
equipment and processes. Make recommendations for engineering
solutions or methods to eliminate hazards.
Required Experience/Skills Bachelor's degree in an appropriate
Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in
Engineering, OR Master's degree in appropriate Engineering
discipline and three (3) years related experience in Engineering.
Proficiency with MS Office suite including Microsoft Excel, Word,
PowerPoint, and Project. Ability to listen and understand
information and ideas and express thoughts and ideas clearly and
concisely through oral and written communication. Customer-focused
approach to provide quality service to improve equipment and
process reliability. Knowledge and understanding of
reliability-centered maintenance practices. Experience with
engineering design drawings and schematics. Self-starter with solid
integrity. Understanding of the importance of safety, legality, and
quality.
Nice-to-Haves CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability
Professional) Certification. Experience in industrial operations
similar to those at the Miami facility. Background in implementing
continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with reliability
software and predictive maintenance technologies.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an appropriate
Engineering discipline required.
