Hours of work will depend on the needs of the Maintenance Lead and
Project. Evening, night, and weekend work will be required as job
duties demand. Summary: This position maintains all mechanical,
electrical, instrumentation, and controls all equipment throughout
the plant and office - safely and effectively, to meet the
organizations requirements. Identify needed parts in manuals and
inform Lead what is needed. Communicate in writing all repairs and
preventative maintenance completed.Safety: This position is a
safety sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence.
The employee has the responsibility for his/her own safety as well
as the safety of othersEssential functions: Performs all
maintenance, including but not limited to preventative, corrective,
emergency, contracted, and warranty service on all equipment
throughout the plant. Identifies, repairs and documents electrical
and instrumentation equipment malfunctions. Discuss software
changes in PLC for equipment operation and control with Facility
Manager and Lead as required. Conducts predictive analysis of all
systems and equipment periodically in order to update PM system and
generate work orders. Ensures completion of work orders based on
schedule and priority or as required and inform Lead for
documentation in Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Monitors equipment and spare parts inventory on a regular basis and
documents results. Installs and tests new equipment parts in
accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and standard safety
procedures. Trains new employees on standard safety and operating
procedures, as required. Supports all company and corporate
policies and procedures. Performs any general work or other
assignments necessary to ensure the safe, clean and efficient
operation of the facility. Temporarily cover various Operation
positions as an Operator where overtime is required.Competency:
Perform exceptional mechanical skills and be willing to work with
management and operations to achieve their specific needs. This
position is responsible for safe and efficient maintenance and
repair of composting and heavy equipment. Work environment: While
performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works
in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed
to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, or
overwhelming odors.Physical demands: To successfully perform the
essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently
required to sit, talk, climb, and hear. The employee is constantly
required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate
objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The
employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, knee, crouch,
crawl and walk. The employee must occasionally lift. Specific
vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance
vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust
focus. Travel: Travel may be frequent depending on job
assigned.Preferred education and experience: High School
Diploma/GED.Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing
maintenance and operation. Minimum 2 years of experience with
hydraulic powered units.Experience in troubleshooting and repair of
flow meters, PLC's, VFD's, transmitters, motors, switchgear, and
other process control equipment. Ability to comprehend and
interpret blueprint drawings and documents.Work with Management to
understand their concerns and properly diagnose issues. Produce
accurate and itemized work estimates for Management. Maintain
Commercial Motor Vehicles and other Equipment according to
Manufacturer's Preventative Maintenance Schedules and according to
the needs of the Company per Management. Utilize the latest in
diagnostic equipment to accurately pinpoint issues, when necessary.
Conduct vehicle inspections and alert Management to issues that
will prevent their equipment from performing optimally or passing
necessary vehicle inspections. Complete daily inspection reports,
safety meetings and time reporting paperwork. Keep work areas
organized and clean. Maintain professional appearance and use
personal protection equipment (PPE) when required. Must be able to
read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Must have valid driver's license. Experience working with
