packaging made from food-safe materials are just some of the

environmental impact by 2030. POSITION SUMMARY: Manage the
engineering activities relating to the factory such that employee
health and safety, product safety and the protection of the
environment are never compromised and that all engineering
activities enhance product quality, factory performance and the
business objectives. Manager will be responsible for the
development and implementation of the strategic vision of the
factory in areas of manufacturing reliability. The Factory
Engineering Manager is a key member of the factory management team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Management Responsibilities
- Define, propose and monitor the implementation of the Factory
Engineering teams plans and objectives in accordance with the
Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the Key Engineering
Activities as outlined in the Nestl-- Engineering Excellence (NEE)
master document.
- Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical
resources related to Factory Engineering.
- Lead and coordinate the Factory Engineering team and maintain
competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the team's
mission and objectives.
- Propose and control the Factory Engineering budget as well as
the factory's capital investment plans and related capital
expenditures.
- Planning and managing all approved capital projects
- Propose and monitor Factory Engineering in accordance with the
key performance indicators.
- Demonstrate and promote the company's values within the Factory
Engineering team.
- Contributing toward the Strategic and Tactical Leadership of
the factory and division as a whole. Functional Responsibilities
The functional responsibilities for a Factory Engineer are outlined
within the NEE master document. The main responsibilities being to:
- Ensure that there exists within the engineering team an
attitude of absolute intolerance for unsafe situations. That all
those in engineering are encouraged never to implement any change,
whether directly instructed to, or under his/her own initiative,
without first questioning its impact in relation to product
safety/quality, people safety and the environment. No compromises
should be tolerated.
- Liaise daily with Production and Quality Assurance to resolve
technical issues and to ensure optimal operation. -
- Ensure that all the team members are familiar with and
implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Ensure environmental compliance with Nestl-- Environmental
management System (NEMS)
- Ensure compliance with Nestl-- Operational Safety, Health and
Risk Management Strategy
- Ensure execution of maintenance is in accordance with the
Nestl-- Maintenance Strategy by using the Consequence Driven
Maintenance philosophy.
- Ensure implementation of Asset Maintenance Management as
Factory Maintenance System:

- Technical Stores Management
- Work Order Management and Labor Hour allocation
- Equipment Bill of Material (BOM)
- Drive the implementation of Maintenance Best Practices

- Optimize Predictive Maintenance technologies (Condition
Monitoring and inspections) to minimize unplanned downtime
- Utilise Planned Downtime for Scheduled and Condition-Based
Maintenance
- Initiate and coordinate the implementation of new
processes/technologies with local, market, PTC, CTU and SBU
engineering.
- Safeguard 'Product Mastership' equipment related technical
knowledge.
- Maintain and develop functional expertise in technical
operations (Maintenance, Projects, Industrial Services, Store) by
providing training and development programs
- Initiate and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) to achieve
industrial process and plant optimization.
- Execute and control Factory Routine, Extra-ordinary Maintenance
and Capital Investment Budgets
- Manage resources continuously to align with factory objectives
and business strategies, include outsourcing opportunities.
- E nsure that all Nestl--'s proprietary technology is protected
by adopting a "careful" relationship with 3rd parties, particularly
outsourcing partners. REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Chemical,
Process.
- Minimum 6 years' experience in a technical field, preferably in
food manufacturing facility including maintenance
responsibilities.
- Prior supervisory experience. EXPERIENCE:
- In-depth knowledge of food processing factory and
technology
- Maintenance technologies
- Operation of utilities.
- Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food
safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R).
- Understanding of financial analysis and relevant business
drivers.
- Nestl-- Standard Costing.
- Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM).
- CAPEX budgeting and preparation (CIAT).
- Project Engineering/Management - Plant Design &
Construction.
- Industrial Services and Energy Management (NEMT).
- Good understanding of electricity, control and automation.
- 1-3 years TPM / continuous improvement process development
experience preferred
- AutoCAD view or Visio, CDM, AMM, ESAT, CIAT, NEMT, NEST etc. -
