That's why all of our employees enjoy access to dynamic career opportunities across different fields and industriesJoin a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems for space within Honeywell Aerospace. - -As the -Satellite Command and Data Handling (C&DH) Software Engineer, you will be part of the C&DH software team tasked with implementation of a complete satellite flight software for a constellation of satellites residing in am Integrated Attitude Orbit and Control (AOC) module consisting of vehicle sensors (e.g., Star Trackers, Sun Sensors, Rate Gyros, Magnetometers, GPS, etc.) On-Board Computers, actuators (e.g., Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Torque Rods, etc.).Key Responsibilities

• Execute and support customer requirement analysis, synthesis and derivation
• Execute and support satellite flight software and ground software architecture development, software builds, test and delivery
• Execute and support software functions for - -Command and Data Handling management, Electrical Power management,
• Telemetry, Tracking and Command management, - -Thermal Control management, Payload interface management, Puro
• Configuration Management and Fault Detection and Isolation Management.
• Execute satellite flight software performance and loading analysis and optimization
• Interface with other software function team and vendors for implementation
• Provide software support for - -verification of Integrated AOCS vehicle control in simulated environment
• Provide software support for - -verification of Integrated AOCS vehicle control in hardware test environmentYOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or Computer Science Engineering -
  • -5 - + years' experience in software builds, loadings and test for satellite assembly, integration and test role within Space or other Hi-Rel industryWE VALUE
    • Experience with application software, software drivers, boot loaders and real-time operating systems specifically VxWorks and associated board support packages (BSP), SIMICS, C and C++
      
      ---Experience with software development cycles,
    • software standards, processes and product assurance
    • Experience with software systems integration and simulations
    • Experience with firmware, I/O cards, backplanes, sensor and actuator interfaces
    • Experience with network architectures, messaging systems and APIs
    • Experience with satellite fault detection, isolation ad recovery software
    • Experience with software coding and debugging
    • Experience with RTEMS, NASA cFS, Pike OS, Linux, Python, and/or Matlab Simulink is an asset
    • Experience with software auto-code generation using Matlab and Simulink is an asset
    • Experience with NASA, ECSS, CSA and/or NewSpace satellite software verification and validation standards is an asset
