Job Description Job Description Position Title: Special Education Teacher (Moderate/Severe) Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034 Grade Level: 7th & 8th Grade Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM Contract Length: 43 Weeks Training Start Date: July 21, 2025 Pay Rate: $75/hour Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher with certification in Moderate/Severe Disabilities to support middle school students in an inclusive and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and work collaboratively with staff and families to help students achieve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction based on students’ IEP goals. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusion and student growth. Track student progress and maintain required documentation. Implement evidence-based behavioral strategies to support student needs. Communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams. Attend mandatory training starting July 21, 2025 . Requirements: Arizona Special Education Certification – Moderate/Severe Disabilities (required). Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s preferred). Prior experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred. Strong classroom management and instructional skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
