Desert Heights Preparatory Academy is looking to hire a High School Math Teacher. Our community has a strong behavior team that supports teachers so that they can focus on education and academics in their classes. We are a program with small class sizes, with a range of 14-22 students in each class. DHPA is a uniform school that focuses on our 3 pillars: Academic Excellence, Integrity of Character, and Social Awareness.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide adequate supervision of students within the classroom and other areas of campus
• Identify the learning needs of individual children
• Provide learning environments that are stimulating so that children develop their potential and experience growth
• Serve as a mentor and role model to students
• Attend professional development required by Administration
• Maintain accurate student records
• Prepare course outlines and objectives
• Provide learning resources and materials
• Plan and deliver instruction based on needs of individual students
  
  Job Requirements:
  
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or 3 or more years of relevant experience in teaching
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technology literacy in Microsoft Programs and Apple devices and applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Flexible, organized, positive professional conduct
