R&D Media and Communications Designer Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a R&D Media and Communications Designer.
Candidates must be local to Glendale, CA (hybrid in office 2-3 days per week)

Portfolio required on resume.

Must Haves:
1) Graphic Design experience
2) Strong Keynote experience, PowerPoint is a plus too
3) Important to have strong presentation experience
- Lighting design not required but ideal for presentations

Description :
The R&D Media and Communications Designer is responsible for the design and production of presentation materials and multimedia assets that document, communicate, and promote Research & Development's (R&D) vision and projects to a variety of internal and external audiences.

A strong, well-rounded communicator with demonstrated visual design, written, and verbal presentation skills, this individual works across R&D's project teams, leaders, and groups - including Research, Advanced Development, and the Technology Studio.

This role distills complex projects and concepts into presentations, live events, graphical assets, and audio/video media that accurately and compellingly articulate project goals and encourage the adoption of new and innovative ideas across the Company.

Basic Qualifications:
--- Degree or formal training in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Media Production, Communications, or similar
--- Demonstrated mastery of professional media design tools (Apple Keynote, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, SketchUp)
--- Minimum two years experience as a graphics or presentation designer in a professional environment
--- A robust graphic design/presentation design portfolio with a clear track record distilling complex concepts into aesthetically-pleasing, easily understood visual materials for a given target audience
--- Strong presenter with excellent public speaking skills and professional writing ability
--- A broad, high-level understanding of technology and the ability to quickly learn new technical concepts well enough to present them to others
--- Demonstrated experience with DSLR photography, audio/video production, and post-production - including simple editing, on-screen graphics, compression, and watermarking
--- Ability to quickly turnaround high-quality design assets under tight timelines
--- Excellent time management skills with the ability to self-manage priorities amidst a dynamic and constantly changing innovation environment
--- Some live theater and technical theater (sound design, lighting design, scenic) experience preferred

Required Education:
BA or BS degree OR equivalent work experience.
