award-winning team! Bi-Lingual (Spanish) required This position
will be based out of Yavapai County, and will travel to Glendale,
AZ regularly (for training, plus 1 day per week for events in
Maricopa County). POSITION SUMMARY The Community Impact Specialist
(CIS) plays a vital role in fostering positive relationships
between the credit union and the communities we serve. The CIS will
work closely with the Community Impact Manager to coordinate the
organization’s efforts to create and deliver valuable financial
education and wellness initiatives. The individual will have a
strong understanding of the credit union, financial education
strategies and curriculum, and social responsibility initiatives.
This role will help support with the development and implementation
of programs that align with our commitment to provide financial
wellness to education-based organizations, businesses, and
community relationships, while enhancing our brand reputation and
growing community partnerships. The individual will
enthusiastically work to achieve financial education goals and
community outreach objectives, while enhancing the quality of life
for our members/team members by meeting or exceeding their service
expectations. Ensures that all community engagement initiative
complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES • Financial Education –
Creates and maintains financial education content for youth, adult,
and underserved communities based on the needs of our employees,
members, and communities. Coordinates with external financial
education vendors to maximize exposure to credit union membership.
Facilitates content at credit union events, community organization,
and on marketing channels and social media platforms for
engagement. Develops relationships within the education community
to promote financial wellness programs. Supports strategies to
establish partnerships with vendors, businesses, and organizations
to achieve department goals. Schedules financial education
opportunities with businesses to align the value of credit union
membership with employee benefits. Ensures the credit union's
quality and professional reputation is projected and maintained.
Supports efforts to incorporate financial counseling activities
into overall member experience. Research and coordinates industry
and education-based grant funding opportunities to enhance
initiatives. • Community Relations – Represents the credit union at
community and charitable events, business gatherings, and social
events with the objective of developing partnerships, sponsorships,
and membership development in the community. Coordinates financial
education efforts with Employee Volunteer Program organizations and
events. Establish and maintains ongoing relationships with
community partners to continue to expand and grow. • Administration
and Reporting – Completes financial education activities and
records information promptly. Establish and executes financial
education calendar activities for both business development and
community relations. Interfaces with Marketing on development and
distribution of brochures, promotional materials, and financial
education content. • Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree obtained
through a formal 4-year program at an accredited educational
facility preferred or equivalent experience. EXPERIENCE: A minimum
of 1-3 years in finance, community impact, business development, or
education and training experience in a financial institution
preferred. Experience developing and presenting credible financial
wellness education to a diverse audience. Experience building and
maintaining professional partnerships with community and business
leaders. Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES •

and being self-reliant to better analyze and solve problems. •
Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to
multi-task and be agile to serve members and employees. • Maintain
working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and
collaborative tools (Teams and Zoom).• Thorough knowledge and
understanding of organization’s Employee Handbook and policies. •
Must demonstrate functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in
addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S.
Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money
Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery
Act. Lifting 30 pounds is required.
