Job Description The opportunity Delaware North Parks and Resorts is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our field finance team at Squire Resort Holiday Inn located near the Grand Canyon. Our ideal candidate is an experienced accountant in the hospitality and/or food and beverage industries. If you are an organized self-starter, skilled in communicating effectively, preparing and analyzing general ledgers, and having a general understanding of internal and external audit practices, please apply. Squire Resort Holiday Inn (322 rooms) is a resort style hotel located in Tusayan, AZ, directly outside of the Grand Canyon (South Rim National Park). Role qualifies for relocation and subsidized employee housing provided near property. Pay Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $45,800 - $59,600 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. These are just some of the benefits we offer: - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) with up to 4% company match - Annual performance bonus based on level, as well as individual, company, and location performance - Paid vacation days and holidays - Paid parental bonding leave - Tuition and/or professional certification reimbursement - Generous friends-and-family discounts at many of our hotels and resorts What will you do? - Prepare and post month-end close journal entries, complete account reconciliations, and support internal and external financial statement audits - Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts by identifying, researching, and clearly explaining variances in a timely and accurate manner - Produce, analyze, and interpret weekly and monthly internal financial reports to support operational and financial decision-making - Maintain accounting records, reports, and supporting documentation in an organized, accurate, and audit-ready format - Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure operational effectiveness, financial compliance, and alignment with organizational objectives - Provide oversight and direct supervision of a property-based accounting clerk responsible for Accounts Receivable and BirchStreet system administration More about you - Minimum of three years of accounting?related experience - 3 years of accounting-related experience - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required - Hospitality experience preferred - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for financial reporting, analysis, and record?keeping - Opera or property management software experience preferred Shift details Days Evenings as needed M-F Who we are The Squire at the Grand Canyon, a Holiday Inn Resort, is a premier destination for guests visiting the South Rim.
