Our Phoenix Glendale Renaissance hotel is a full-service property with 320 rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space. It is located a short walk from attractions, including Gila River Arena, State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, Tanger Outlet, and buzz-worthy Westgate Entertainment District.

We are currently looking for a Controller to help operations to drive financial performance by monitoring key metrics that impact overall hotel performance while ensuring compliance with finance policy, procedures, and practices.

Salary: $90k- $100k

What You Will Be Doing:

TheControllerwill be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:

--- Ensurecompliance with property internal controls, Atrium SOPs,and safeguarding propertyassets;

--- Completeannual and interim externalaudits;

--- Managethe accounts receivableand accounts payable functions,ensuring the accounts are in goodstanding;

--- Confirmaccurate credit card and cashdeposits;

--- ManageSales and Use Tax accruals and accounts as well as ensuringcompliance with all sales and use taxregulations;

--- Manageall daily processes inaccounting systemsincluding accurate and timely reporting of dailyrevenue;

--- Monitorhouse funds, including cashier variances,providingcoachingand disciplinary action,as required

--- Perform monthendtasks and general ledger items, working with Corporate Accounting team to complete financialreporting;

--- Providethe General Manager and department heads withprofitability and financial analysisto include laborreviews,forecastsand budgets;

--- Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Required Prior Experience:

--- 3 + years of Financial Accounting experience

--- 2+ years of Management experience

--- Strong working knowledge of the accounts payable, income audit, and general ledger reconciliation functions

--- Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, Finance, Management or other related discipline or equivalent experience

Preferred Prior Experience:

--- Hotel accounting, budgeting, and forecasting experience

--- Previous full-service hotel experience

--- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other related, professional

certifications

--- Working knowledge of POS and PMS systems

--- Birch Street, Concur, and ProfitSage, Sage300
